Many organisations are now moving quickly to adopt Windows 7, a new survey has found.
According to the study by IT provider Softchoice, the adoption of Microsoft's operating system has reached a critical point with more enterprises planning to install Windows 7.
Although 28% of corporate PCs have Windows 7 installed, only 10% of companies are past the half-way point in rolling out the OS across their entire fleet.
Some 60% of organisations are either actively testing the OS or are in the process of deploying Microsoft's operating system.
The analysis indicates a rapid growth in installations seen over the course of this year and also suggests that Windows 7 already has a strong corporate footprint.
