Apple reveals new iPad features
Apple's latest campaign for leadership in the tablet computer department comes in the form of its newest iPad, set to take the industry to "a whole new level".
The new iPad, the third in its series, boasts "the highest resolution display ever on a mobile device" with retina display. It contains 3.1 million pixels on the screen, which is 9.7 inches. It also has a five megapixel camera with automatic focus and exposure features, as well as an option for users to record videos in high definition.
Setting it apart from its siblings is its capability for top speed connection with 4G wireless, enabling technology lovers to browse the Internet and download media very quickly.
It weighs 1.4lbs and has a voice dictation feature that can allow users to write messages or search for options instead of typing in commands.
CEO Tim Cook said: "It is amazing, we're taking it to a whole new level. We think that iPad is the poster child of the post PC world. The momentum behind iPad has been incredible and surprised nearly everyone".
The mobile device is expected to take to the shelves in the UK on March 16, with prices ranging from £399 to £659.
