Iomega has released its new StorCenter PX Series of NAS devices
Iomega has released its new StorCenter PX Series of Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices.
Specially designed for small and medium-sized enterprises, the new Iomega products are powered by the EMC storage technology.
The StorCenter PX Series includes two desktop models - the px4-300d and px6-300d - together with a four-bay rackmount version.
The devices support the optional use of SSD drives and advanced data protection features such as multiple RAID levels with hot swap drives, UPS support, user quotas, device-to-device replication and certification for most virtualisation environments.
According to the manufacturer, users can conveniently set up and manage the devices, while they are also reasonably priced.
Iomega's latest NAS devices range from diskless with no included storage, up to 18TB of storage capacity.
The PX Series is also equipped with Iomega Personal Cloud technology, which will allow users to safeguard and share data without any incremental costs. Other specifications include dual core Intel processor and 2GB memory.
Jonathan Huberman, president of Iomega, said: "The new Iomega StorCenter PX series products are powerful business class NAS devices designed to meet and exceed the network storage needs of today's small and mid-sized businesses."
