IBM has introduced its new Smarter Commerce initiative
IBM has introduced its new Smarter Commerce initiative, featuring a portfolio of cloud-based analytics software.
Using the latest platform, businesses will be able to benefit from real-time digital information being published online. This is expected to help improve business as well as boost revenue.
The cloud-based analytics software will enable firms to control their brands online in real-time, evaluate clients' response to services and products, and eventually lead to sales growth.
The firm said this market currently values at £43 billion, with online interactions resulting in the creation of a huge number of purchase orders.
Craig Hayman, general manager of IBM's software industry solutions, said the platform is likely to become an important part of business strategies in the near future.
He added: "Businesses require a tighter and highly responsive network of suppliers and partners to ensure they deliver the right product or service at the right price, time and place.
"The key to business success in this unfolding environment is predicting trends and automating market responses in advance to eliminate the gaps between buy and sell, supply and demand."
