Using laptops with dual screens can enhance the productivity of users by providing more screen space to complete a task.
This will be especially useful for those who own smaller laptops with fewer multitasking options.
Toshiba has come up with a new device called The Mobile Monitor, along with a variety of high-performance laptops.
The Mobile Monitor will work with any laptop brand and weighs just under three pounds. It has a 14in screen and includes a case that also doubles as a stand.
The device can be connected to a laptop through a USB port that feeds both video and power to the 1366 x 768 HD display.
The laptop's screen can either be extended or duplicated.
The Japanese company's new device builds on the success of the Portege R700, an award-winning ultraportable laptop that did not sacrifice performance and features for its weight and feel.
The new models are the thinnest business laptops ever made by Toshiba. They are part of the R800 generation - the Portege R830 and Tecra R840 and R850 - featuring the latest generation Core processors from Intel.
