Ontrack® PowerControls™ is a simple, yet powerful tool for copying, searching, recovering and analyzing data directly from (EDB) and Information Store files and is designed to help Exchange Administrators better serve their internal clients.

Find lost, deleted and archived mailbox items quickly and easily. If an internal client accidentally deletes an import email folder, recover it in minutes and copy the messages directly to the client’s mailbox – all while staying at your own desk. If your Exchange server goes down, use Ontrack PowerControls to retrieve all messages since your last backup.



Archive Restoration Ontrack PowerControls restores mailbox items from a previous full backup directly into the production Exchange server or directly into a new or existing PST file; eliminating the need to perform time-consuming, expensive single mailbox "brick-level" backups. Use Ontrack PowerControls to restore:

• Complete mailboxes, folders or individual messages
• Attachments, contacts, calendar items
• Public Folders database items
  

Email / Exchange Search

Ontrack PowerControls allows you to set precise search criteria and run detailed queries across multiple data sources, selecting any combination of mailboxes or folders you wish to search, regardless of the data source.

• Minimize time needed to locate emails matching specific criteria
• Simultaneously search all mailboxes in an archive .edb file
• View messages by conversation thread, message table view or attachment table view
  

Licensing

Ontrack® PowerControls™ licensing options offer a number of cost-effective ways to purchase the ultimate power tool for Exchange administrators.

Flexible corporate license options accommodate the needs of those customers who want to use the product within their own organization. Further customization is available via purchase of add-on features, allowing you to tailor Ontrack PowerControls even more to your specific needs.

Alternatively, commercial license options are available for those customers intending to use Ontrack PowerControls to service and provide recovery and restoration solutions their own customers.

Licenses for Corporate Use

Ontrack PowerControls license options for corporate use are designed to meet the need of the size of your Exchange environment, with licensing based on servers and mailboxes. Three license edition options are available.

The Standard and Business Editions will not open an .EDB file that has more than the designated number of mailboxes. The Enterprise Edition will not open an .EDB containing an unlicensed server name.
